Mary Duke Biddle Foundation

Since its inception in 1956, The Mary Duke Biddle Foundation has awarded grants to organizations focused on education, the arts, and charity. Although our grants are modest in size, we take pride in funding initiatives that have a significant impact on the lives of the communities they serve.

In keeping with our original charter, The Mary Duke Biddle Foundation awards at least half of the endowment’s annual or principle income to Duke University. The remaining funding is directed to grants in North Carolina and New York.
